What was the last really difficult interview question you were asked? How did you respond?
"What do you do when a customer complains about your operation?" I thank them for their willingness to speak up and explain to me how they were mistreated. Without knowing what was bothering them, I would never have known about the problem. This approach invariably disarms them and lets them know I care about the way they have been treated. I promise to rectify the situation, if it's within my power, and usually offer them some carrot to appease them. It's a tactic that always works!....

How would you describe your time at Aramark - US Nuclear Regula...?
When I arrived, I immediately worked on morale of employees to make them more cohesive and productive. I cleaned up both the fron and back of the house, re-merchandised the front with more upscale and fresher assortments, improved food quality and designed menus. Dramatically improved customer service and therefore increased customer participation during first 6 months by 10%. Also lowered food costs by 20% and increased bottom line by 2.3% over plan. Over the last year, especially starting with fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2006 and running through March 31, 2007, my bottom line increase waas 230% over plan with a 16% invrease in top line sales and an increase in customer participation of 22%. Also lowered inventory levels by 45%....

How would you describe your time at Aramark - Computer Sciences?
Since this was a start-up operation, taking over from a previous owner, re-merchandised and upgraded food and offerings, improved food quality and cultivated strong customer relations by delivering strong customer service. Trained employees on procedures, structuring inventories, computer data imput (first time for most that they ever used a computer) and supervised 13 employees (2 managers) in 3 distant locations while generating more than $1.1 Million in dining and catering sales. Increased customer participation from 20% to 48% over previous owner, raised sales by 25% and reduced costs by 12%....

Managed dining and catering production, inventory control, food costs, ordered comestibles and merchandised all FOH food items. Fed 700 customers plus 92 day care children daily. Increased sales 11% and lowered food costs by 13% during 2 1/2 year tenure. Designed menus on a 90 day cycle as well as designing and orchestrating catering events for up to 1000 attendees. Wrote international menu service for 50 from 9 different countries and 3 different regions. Earned a reputation for top-level quality and presentation among government agency food service operations....
