How would you describe your time at ARM Environmental?

At this company I am an environmental consultant. It is our job to work for different chemical plants to ensure that each one is complying with local, state, and federal regulations and laws. I perform many tasks such as environmental research, safety training (OSHA, DEP required), air permit records (Title V records), water permits (stormwater discharge, monthly DMR, taking water and chemical samples, along with many specialized projects (creating MSDS, safety plans, etc).... read more

How would you describe your time at University of Rhode Island ...?

I began my freshman year of college as a chemistry major, which allowed for me to have multiple courses in chemistry and biology. I wanted to have a more concentrated area of study, so I looked into and eventually pursued and obtained my Bachelor's degree in Marine and Coastal Policy. I took many courses about environmental management, policy, and law. Many of these courses dealt more specifically with coastal areas and bodies of water. I also took many resource economics classes. These courses taught me not only how the economy works but more importantly the value of natural resources within the economy. Having a wide variation of courses throughout my college career has proven to be very useful in my current position.... read more
