What path did you take to your current career?

My stepfather was a Union Pipefitter, me and my brother would get summer jobs, on the sites that would let us, helping him. So I started out at 15 or 16 as a pipefitter helper, I have been a welder or fitter ever since, except for the Shoney's cook job at 19 years old. How would you describe your time at Sullivan Steel?

I loved this place, the owner and I were friends and it was a very rewarding experience foir me.
I started at $8.50 an hour through a temp. agency and worked my way up to foreman with a $60,000 a year salary. The company has since shut down due to the owner's personal life. We did structural work mostly, fabricating beams and columns, stairs, handrails, joists, etc.... read more

It was a nice school, a new school, had lot's of friends.
Excelled in Math, Science.
Enrolled in a Vocational Welding Class for 2 years, completed it with a certificate.
