Duties: Managed the product development of the first wireless modems for the mass consumer market with IBM, Ericsson, Motorola, etc. at a telecommunications carrier subsidiary of the Motorola Group in the then nascent wireless data industry. Managed all activities related to product management, marketing, planning and support for these products. Prepared business cases and feasibility studies, and presented to senior executives and boards of directors at Fortune 500 companies throughout North America.
Achievements: Developed and launched two wireless data modems for portable computers targeted to business users. -- When we discovered that the outside OEM sales force did not understand how to sell the technology to the mass business consumer marketplace, developed a training program and personally trained the sales force. Developed a clear value proposition for presentation to the corporate customer, accompanied sales people to customer presentations and over a 120-day period consistently personally closed 7 out of 10 sales during the first visit....

Duties: Managed all country operations of the German distribution subsidiary of ECS (Groupe Societe Generale) during a period of rapid growth and transition. Responsible for profit and loss of operations in Germany with a staff of 10 direct reports covering all classical organizational functions and 75 employees, 40 of which distributed throughout nine sales offices; annual sales of $30 million. Participated as a member of the Executive Management Committee ("Conseil de Direction") at the Paris headquarters. Personally presented to upper management and boards of directors, and closed multi-million euro sales contracts for complex high-value computer information systems and leasing solutions with Fortune 100 companies in Germany.
Achievements: Discovered 11.2 million German Marks in financial losses hidden for several years in the company's accounts by predecessors using financial knowledge and management control/audit techniques. -- Designed, presented and implemented a plan that successfully recovered the losses within 18 months by restructuring operations to increase sales, reduce overhead expenses, and increase efficiency by transferring distribution operations to a single European distribution center. -- Project managed the restructuration of operations, the transfer of logistics to a new European central distribution facility and the reduction of personnel in cooperation with the trade union. -- Acquired and merged seven agent sales companies into the corporate entity and sold three back to new agents. -- Increased sales by an average 30% per year while reducing headcount by 30% and consistently exceeded all KPI's and sales and profit expectations over the 3-year period. -- Project managed ISO 9002 certification from start to completion....

Promoted to International Purchasing Manager (1984-1985), managed product selection and purchasing for the company's five foreign subsidiary companies, personally negotiated distribution agreements with people such as Bill Gates, Steven Jobs, Rod Canion and others who would later become industry giants. Promoted to Sales, Marketing & Purchasing Manager and transferred to the European HQ in Luxembourg (1985-1989), managed product selection and all marketing for stores in 18 countries in Europe and Israel. Developed and implemented an OEM private label product program from Asian suppliers from start to finish.
Achievements: Continually recognized for superior performance and progressed from a part-time specialist in the US to having responsibility for all European Sales, Marketing and Purchasing before 30th birthday. -- Played a determining role in avoiding a mutiny of franchisees and increased European sales tenfold in five years....
