>> Managed a mission critical internal application server. Managed all aspects of over 300 machines, both high capacity racks and desktop chassis, including automation and configuration.
>> Managed the queue and coordinated priority with PMs and Team Leads.
>> Report to management daily,
weekly, and monthly about the system and infrastructure health. Summarize any significant issues or errata and outstanding as well as resolved issues. Escalate notification based upon impact and severity.
>> Correlate debug data sources (SQL db, event / log files, test / diagnostic output, etc.) and characterize live problems as they occur in the environment.
>> Identify show stopping issues and coordinate an appropriate teamed response.
>> Create new methods, or utilize any existing stop gap resolutions required to meet SLAs.
>> Debug and troubleshoot root causes, ID points of failure, and log trouble tickets / sightings to identify new problems to the responsible team.
>> I optimized and corrected infrastructure configurations which directly impacted request execution efficiency by a factor of 4x while under a heavy load and reduced latency in key operations by about 1-2 hours per instance (performed up to hundreds of times per day). Directly after these changes the system began posting record numbers, showed a large increase in capacity, and was more stable in operation.
