How would you describe your time at Stream International?

Microsoft assembled an elite base of IT professionals to support its global release of the Vista operating system. The magnitude of the project required setting up groups within established customer contact centers. Operations were targeted toward building a versatile team capable of quickly assuming new support roles in response to continuously changing risks.
- First Call Resolution of over 90% on a team with highest FCR of any Microsoft support center. Success within such a dynamic environment was largely due to an ability to quickly analyze and adapt to emergent issues and rapidly shifting priorities.
- Managing perceptions and delivering an optimal customer experience was of even greater value for the Vista rollout. Emphasis placed on active listening to cultivate advocates and recovery tactics to minimize detractors.

How would you describe your time at Reuters Japan?

Though Reuters remains the largest international news agency, journalism actually constitutes less than 10% of the company's income. Most of its revenue comes from supplying financial markets with real-time data, analytics, and trading systems over privately maintained global computer networks. Clients I worked with included UBS, Credit Lyonnais, Deutche Bank, JP Morgan, ING Barings, Citibank, Nomura Securities. QA professionals assume more diversified functions considered integral to product development, marketing, purchase planning, training, and customer relations.
- Responsible for quality assurance of applications and hardware on Japanese language environments. Wrote QA test plans, evaluated scripts, and interpreted results.
- Technical Liaison to OEM partners Intel, Matsushita (Panasonic), British Telecom. Led efforts to resolve critical supplier quality problems resulting in the integration of new collaborative strategies with vendors.
- Business analysis for regional customers. Liaison between users, marketing, and development groups dispersed globally and using a variety of software development methodologies. Conducted stakeholder interviews, requirement workshops, and process reviews. Prepared Functional Specs, BRDs, Use Cases, UML Diagrams, Prototypes, and Feasibility Reports.
- Compiled competitor analysis and regional environmental scans. Involved with marketing tactics and sales strategy decisions. Key role in product launch promotions and sales negotiations.
- Carried out training of field engineers and subcontractors. Developed training curriculum and student performance appraisals used in Tokyo and throughout much of Asia.

This provided the chance to visit factories and distribution channels, interact with local consumers, meet with business leaders, and speak with remarkably candid government officials. What we saw firsthand put into perspective fifteen months of intensive study focusing on Asia and emerging markets in the Pacific Rim.... read more
