Responsible for resolving complex product issues by engaging Nortel product line hardware and software engineers after main release. Performed architectural engineering for business-to-business internet based IPSec VPN connectivity. Performed architectural engineering for Nortel teleworkers and contractors utilizing Nortel voice (CS1K / MCS / i2004) and data (VPN Router 200 series) solutions. Supported Nortel locations globally. Interfaced with WAN, LAN, Security, and Identity Management teams to provide engineering and troubleshooting support. Engineered and supported WLAN firewalls for corporate network. Engineered teleworking endpoint security profiles utilizing Nortel TunnelGuard product. Responsible for interoperability engineering between Nortel and third party VPN vendors (Cisco, NetScreen, Checkpoint, etc.) engaging vendor support engineers as necessary. Performed packet analysis using Ethereal, Wireshark, and Niksun hardware probes.
