How would you describe your time at Anderson Family YMCA?
It's been great! I instruct a SilverSneakers chair aerobics fitness class for senior citizens for an hour twice a week. The experience has been fun and rewarding. I have been trained by the SilverSneakers program to do SilverSneakers Range of Motion classes and SilverSneakers Cardio II classes. I have also been trained by the YMCA in basic group exercise, basic aerobics and step, Exerband, and Exerball. I have also been certified in CPR, First Aid, Universal Precautions, and Emergency Preparedness....

Good. I filed progress notes and other documents into client files. Confidentiality was a must and was strictly honored. I worked fast and accurately. As with anything I pursue, I was dedicated to doing my very best.

How would you describe your time at Madison County Youth Center?
Great! I worked in an emergency shelter care facility for abused and neglected children, ages 6-17. I love working with children and this job was satisfying and fulfilling. I managed a caseload of about six children and developed and implemented behavior contracts and progress plans for their daily living needs. I planned and implemented recreational activities, structured time for studies and chores, daily living skills, medication administration, and other physical and/or behavior needs. I also acted as liaison between the child and their school, caseworker, doctor, therapist, etc. I also wrote daily log entries on the children's activities and behaviors as well as incident reports, case reports, etc....

I worked in a group home for chronically mentally ill adults. I supervised and assisted with daily living skills activities, administered medications, organized and implemented recreational activities, wrote daily logs on clients' activities and behaviors, communicated with clients' doctors, therapists, and family members....

Excellent. My grades were average or slightly above average overall. I did receive honors in my minor study area of Anthropology. I also have a second minor in Native American Studies. I also excelled in writing and creative writing.
