With a Biological Sciences degree form NC State University, I was able to transition quite easily. Most of the science courses I took were accompanied by a laboratory session, which taught me essential techniques and practices that I still use today. Furthermore, having an advanced scientific vocabulary and understanding of biological concepts is essential for anyone working in the bio-tech industry....

My major was Criminal Justice and my minor was Political Science and my education is applicable in some ways but was not necessary. I am able to apply some of the terminology I learned from my criminal justice major to my job when dealing with citizens inquires or when speaking with an officer. Also, my research and writing skills that I have learned and improved upon while in school are now a tool in my position when I have to type a letter or look up something for a project....
