My most bizarre interview experience happened in Germany. My German skills were not that good at the time and I was expecting the interview to be in English, but when I arrived we did everything in German. I was so nervous that I was only able to focus on trying to speak German. I knew that I didn't have a chance anymore when the interviewer started asking me about an electrical bus (a collection of wires bundled together) and all I could think about was a school bus and why he is asking me about a school bus....

Wasn't really bizarre, but probably more of an interesting one.

Phone interview with Microsoft for a Program Manager Position. Question: You are in charge of a new product. The new product is a coffee maker made for a car's dashboard. How would you take it from concept to market?

My mom made me go interview for a job that I would have to quit a week later to go back to college. It was over the holiday break of my freshman year. She thought I was laying around the house too much. The job was assembling furniture or something. I told her that nobody would hire someone for a week. She insisted that if they needed someone bad enough, they would. The guy who interviewed me agreed with me, not my mom....

When they changed their mind in the middle of an interview and said "it's obvious I need to put some more thought into what I want for the position!" That person thanked me and wished me the best of luck

I was asked questions as to how I would deal with internal conflicts and whether I was skilled at dealing with difficult people. It made me wonder as to the type of work environment I would be working in.

It was to replace a bathroom floor in a trailer house, all i was asked was if I did it before, I said yes and they said they were leaving for the weekend and want it done by the time they get back,I said no problem,I gave them an estimate for materials, they gave me cash to get them and left me with their house for the weekend.I finished up sunday morning and they loved it when they returned and refered me to some other work....

I went to an interview that took 3hrs, I kinda felt like I was in trouble w/ the law.. It was question after question, with some different asking the questions. It was really stressful.
