Graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a degree in Industrial Distribution; assumed an entry-level position in the Materials Department and continue professional developed in the area of supply chain management.

What path did you take to your current career?

I started on the bottom of the ladder and worked my way up. I wouldn't have done it otherwise. That is the best way to gain the experience and understand what job requirements for all the positions are.

What path did you take to your current career?

Started in high school where I took electronic classes for two years. Then carried that over into the Navy as a Electronic Technician/Communications Yeomen. Then from there after the service worked in aviation electronics for Bendix. Then to Xerox Corporation and started there as a test technician and prgressed to senior lead tech, associate test engineer. Xerox offered numerous digital courses in which I took. Also attended evening classes for certain courses that would benefit myself and the company. After 10 years with Xerox, work as a self-employed contractor for a company that needed someone to repair their Xerox copier boards. Then I moved on to companies such as Star Micronics, Basic Four all in California, then moved to Oregon in 1989, and worked for Current Electronics, Mega Tech of Oregon, Adec, Lytech Solutions, and now Adecco and contracted out to Xerox in Wilsonville, Oregon for two contract terms.... read more

Find a good company that shares your philosphy, has great products, and it's management will back you up. Once you find this company stay put. These are keys for success and respectablility. People often ask; "by the way how long have you been working for this company".
