I would recommend always striving to get to the highest level possible, no matter what you try to do.

Care sincerely about increasing positive outcomes for persons served.

Go to school when you are younger to get the degree

make sure you are fully prepared

i think with any job in the healthcare industry you have to truley enjoy it.if your heart isn't in it then i don't think there is any way you can have the compassion to take care of other people.

Be willing to take on additional responsibilities outside of your job description. Don't get so caught up in doing exactly what you are asked to do on paper.

Socialize, network, always hunt for jobs even if you already have contracts. If you get too busy doing nothing but work, you have no new work coming in, and no work at all when you get done.

Work really hard and have a lot of patience. Stay ahead of the game by constantly looking for things to do. If you need information don't wait for it to come to you go out and find it. I've saved a lot of time and energy by finding out what I needed to do instead of waiting for someone to tell me....

Be genuinely interested in people; show them a complete picture of what you represent.
