A former supervisor at Disney Store. He has very high standards for every endeavor. He was very creative and attuned to the team spirit displayed by the employees (cast members). He taught me to accept only high levels of performance, to make every effort count and to make work fun. If people are enjoying their challenges and getting positive reinforcement, they will want to work hard....

My graduate professor/department chairperson: he taught me detached involvement - giving any task every thing I can in that moment and then preparing to shift gears for the next challenge.

I never had one

Among all my mentor's my father was the most influential. He instilled upon me a passion for life in all aspects, including my career. I am a very driven person, largely because of his influence.

My Current Manager. She has been the best influence on me. She has taught me so much with my current job and tells me i would be great at anything.

One of my most influential mentors was a bad district manager - not because of what they taught me, but because they showed me the kind of actions that can ruin good business and develop enemies, and underlined the importance of always documenting the actions of an individual in case you need to present a case to have them terminated later - which I didn't do and to this day wish that I had. On the other hand, it did motivate me to leave retail management and return to school....
