Who was your most influential mentor and what did they teach you?

I am torn between three people.

One is my high school English teacher, Ms. Annemarie Talunas, who taught me the formula for the perfect essay. I used this formula as the backbone of many essays during college and continued to utilize it as a teacher and tutor, passing it along to several of
my students. The formula is simple enough to explain to a ten year old child, but can be utilized and adapted to write a twenty five page research paper for a graduate course in literary analysis.

Later, in college, I had the pleasure of meeting and studying under two very different creative writing professors, both authors. Chuck Rosenthal, a master of beat poetry and all things Jack Kerouac, focused on the beauty of language, while the other, Greg Sarris, on the beauty of the story. Often their theories clashed, but as a student of both, I feel that I was able to find my own voice as a writer. I will always be grateful to both of them.

Who was your most influential mentor and what did they teach you Romma Electronics Industry?

The most influential person why I made it good in selling is the president of my previous company. She did first supported me on the basic steps of selling: how to deal with different kind of people, how to communicate with our supplier/principal from different parts of the world, how to make make proposals and the art of influencing people. But the best she has done was to allow me to work on my own, made my own decision whether it is commercial or technical issues and gave her utmost trust in me so I can work independently. Which I valued until this time and still instrumental in my new company.... read more

Who was your most influential mentor and what did they teach you?

Sadly, I don't recall his name. He was a farmer with a hay field. He hired me to help him bale hay. The days were long, hot, dirty and hard. At the end of the day he was as fresh as when we started at dawn. I was dragging so bad the enamel on my teeth hurt. He taught me anyone can work hard and get things done but a wise man works smart and enjoys life. I remember struggling to lift a wagon to hitch it up to a tractor. After nearly internally busting something important to me I watched the farmer stroll to the other end of the wagon and gently pressed down on and effortly lifted the hitch to the tractor. From that I never forgot that if something was tasking me, tackle it from a different angle or pespective.... read more
