It lasted slightly longer than the summer, but my most memorable job was at the UGA Meat Science Center. It was amazing. I learned so much in that job. It wasn't a big commercial slaughterhouse, so each person got to spend time doing every role, so I learned a lot about every step from slaughter to packaging. Meat slaughter and fabrication are skills that not many people have. How many people can say that they can take a hog from living to every retail cut of meat in a couple of hours? It was a very interesting and educational experience....
