What are the most challenging aspects of your job at IBM?

Social isolation. Even though three other members of my team were located in Durham, NC, and one of them had an office just down the hall from mine, we always communicated electronically because that is how we liaised with the bulk of the team, which was overseas. We didn't celebrate birthdays, have a Christmas gathering of our own, etc. As time went on, all of us chose to work from our own homes, which I liked immensely. Perhaps if there hadn't been so much isolation at the office, we would have come in more oftem. But it worked out fine.... read more
