What's the funniest thing that ever happened to you at WAL*MART?

I showed up to work late for the third time this week hoping I could just sneek by unnoticed. Turns out I just saw a girl I had a crush on for six years walk by. She asked me on a date in wich I replied by urinating on myself. This is not something I normally do as it is just a truely yuuukyy experiance. What was I talking about? oh yeah, so I stormed off in embarassment and got fired immediatly. Does anyone have a job open for me? Any way I just recently urinated on myself and my kattins drinks toilet water. Is this what it's like to be a NASCAR driver? talking on the cunpoter and suchers. Oh yeah so I also had a job where I worked in fastfood service. I forgot to wash my hands and I got fired, I explained that I diddnt poop or nothing I just took a leek That didn't really fly with my mcmanajer. 'next thing I know I'm getting treated like grimmace the purple mushroom monster. I met him once at a racecar rally in a race track where that guy turrneed left a bunch of times.... read more

How would you describe what you did at WAL*MART?

I first started as a part time cashier. i then had an opportunity to upgrade to full time in the photo lab. there i learned photo processing. i decided this i preferred cashiering , so transfered back to the front end, i was asked to work in the garden center, so i wwent to that dept for the season. i then transferred to sporting goods, learning alot about various outdoor activities. i was a bit uncomfortable with the hunting aspect, i then went back to the front end. i passed the customer service test, so accepted that position. it requires managing cashiers, handling customer issues as well as maintaing the balance of cash register readings. i also schedule lunch times and breaks for front end perssonell including cart pushers, door greeters, cashiers and service desk associates.... read more

What advice would you give to a new employee at WAL*MART?

My advice to someone new would be. Ask for help if you need it, you'll find that your co-workers will help. Also if you come to work everyday remembering that the customers is there for a reason and your job is to make sure that customer leaves and tells everyone they know the REASON why they also should shop there. Then one other thing I would say to that new employee is, "Treat those the way you would want to be treated"... read more

I engaged my customers with required continuous improvement resulting in the development of Human Resources processes and programs linked to building WALMART's image and brand at post-secondary schools, recruitment strategy with a focus on fit with WALMART's three basic beliefs, training, career development and succession planning. What's the secret to getting hired at WAL*MART?

Wal-Mart has equal oppertunity for everyone. I was lucky, I had a friend that helped me join the company. I worked hard to better myself and do good for the company. I not only worked for the company, but I had a new family within side the company. The pay is good and Wal-Mart gave you something to look forward to every year. We got wage increases. The company has a lot of training programs, to improve your knowledge on how to perform your job better and set you up for promotions. While with the company I got to travel some. I really enjoyed that.... read more
