- Implementation and Maintenance of Veran Medical software development infrastructure, including build systems, source control, and FDA design requirements
== Essential Education, Skills and Characteristics ==
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/software engineering, computer science or related field; Graduate school in appropriate field a plus
- 5 to 8 years of software development experience with 1 to 3 years in a management role
- Project planning and management experience with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
== Specialized Knowledge and Skills ==
- Expert C++ skills required
- Image Guided Surgery and Medical Image Processing experience a strong plus
- History of user interface design and implementation a plus
- Experience installing and/or specifying source control systems (such as CVS, CCM, Subversion, Perforce, etc) a plus
- Medical Device development with experience developing products under the FDA QSR (Quality System Regulation) a plus
- OpenGL, Mac OSX, Objective-C and Cocoa a plus
