ACTIVE NURSE

- Army Nurse Accession Bonus of $20,000 to $30,000 (up to $10,000 if combined with Loan Repayment Program)
- Nurse Loan Repayment Program of up to $120,000 over three years; may be applied toward qualified nursing school loans
- Paid continuing education, including clinical specialization courses
- Travel opportunities, including humanitarian missions
- No-cost or low-cost medical and dental care for you and your family
- Non-contributory retirement benefits with 20 years of qualifying service
- 30 days of paid vacation earned annually
- Commissary and post exchange shopping privileges
- Flexible, portable retirement savings and investment plan similar to a 401(k)
- Privileges that come with being an Officer in the U.S. Army

Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing from a program accredited by the National League for Nursing or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or accepted by the U.S. Secretary of Education
- Completion of a qualified course in operating room nursing or 1 year of supervised operating room experience
- Between 21 and 42 years of age (health care professionals ages 43 to 60 are now eligible for a two-year service contract under the OAPP program)
- Current, valid and unrestricted nursing license
- U.S. citizenship

RESERVE PERIOPERATIVE NURSE
As a perioperative nurse and Officer on the U.S. Army Reserve Health Care Team, you'll have the opportunity to enhance your skills while working in your community and serving when needed. In our collaborative environment, you'll have the opportunity to learn new techniques and utilize the latest technology. Most importantly, you'll provide the best nursing care to our Soldiers and their Families
Benefits include:
- Special Pay of $37,500 ($12,500 per year for three years) for nurses with their BSN
- Up to $50,000 for nursing school loans through the Health Professional Loan Repayment Program
- Paid continuing education
- Travel opportunities, including humanitarian missions
