Today we are recognized as an innovator and trusted partner in in-home design, and as a standard bearer for quality, craftsmanship, and sophisticated styling.
We are seeking a professional sales manager to join and grow with our team at our San Rafael Headquarters. This is a unique opportunity for a proven sales leader to work directly with the president of the company to build a high performing sales team.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of growing sales teams and will be well versed at coaching and mentoring sales teams to enhance their selling skills, increase their closing rates, and leverage their existing client bases. The sales manager is ultimately accountable for overall revenue generation for the company and will be evaluated on sales success, sales volume, management capabilities, personnel management, and profitability. Core responsibilities include recruiting, training, managing, motivating and coaching a team of 10-15 sales professionals. This position also has responsibility for management of our two retail showrooms

* Responsible for the initial customer contact, develops, quotes, and follows-up on all sales leads and inquiries.
* Establishes preliminary quality objectives and determines the up-front requirements needed to insure compliance of the end item commodities.
* Evaluates market conditions and establishes marketing and advertising strategies.
* Coordinates customer contact and correspondence with personnel within company to insure that new work and requirements transition smoothly from concept to reality-acts as a liaison between customers and our headquarters
* Serve as a project leader, leading product launch, engineering changes
Desired Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry Materials or Technology- related field
* Good understanding of plastic materials, injection molding, mechanical aptitude
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, CAD files and product/quality specifications
* 5+ years experience within the plastic industry and experience with injection molding
