Enterprise-class video surveillance solutions and services company is looking for to hire a top Sales Manager to manage 5 regional sales managers. The primary responsibility of this position is to achieve assigned revenue and gross profit targets by managing outside sales reps as part of the company's channel sales organization. The outside sales reps sell direct to end users in new vertical markets, and support sales opportunities being worked by channels sales partners in established vertical markets. Compensation includes a base salary plus variable compensation tied to attainment of revenue and gross profit targets
Supervision Received: Reports directly to the VP of Sales
Typical Working Conditions: The duties of this position are carried out in an office environment and require travel up to 50% of the time to customer sites and other locations to attend company sales and marketing functions
Essential Functions: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
Act with a strong sense of accountability to the assigned revenue and gross profit targets
Hire, train, and manage outside sales representatives
Create tools, processes, and reporting metrics to properly manage the team and measure results
Ensure that accurate contact, account, and pipeline data is maintained in the company's sales force automation tool
Provide a weekly 'sales dashboard' that includes lead generation, pipeline and forecast data
Develop best practices and ensure that they are adhered to consistently across the team
Act as an effective conduit between the field organization and the senior management team to ensure that key information (e.g. market trends, product requirements, selling obstacles) is captured to help drive informed decision making
Represent the company in a way that is consistent with its core values of honesty, integrity, and respect
Be a good steward of company assets and travel funds

EDUCATION: 4 year college degree required
EXPERIENCE: Five years of sales management experience is required. Three years direct sales experience is required. Experience managing a sales team focused on software and / or technology-based solutions is a plus. Prefer software/hardware direct sales experience within the K-12/higher education verticals
