Sonian is looking for an experienced Systems Automation Ruby Engineer
to join our team. We are looking for a highly motivated, goal-oriented &
team-focused engineer.
Responsibilities
* Deliver recipies with Chef, Nanite & Cucumber (Ruby)
* Flawless automated maintenence of 100+ node systems
* Plan automated backups and fail-over configurations
* Keep centralized logging and monitoring on clusters
* Work with other Engineers to profile and optimize
* Develop capacity plans for new & existing clusters
* Produce high quality systems documents
Requirements
* Proficient in Ruby, Git & Linux
* Firm grasp of networking protocols & firewalls
* Ability to learn new technologies quickly
* Have a general excitement for cutting edge technologies
* Excellent organization, documentation and communication skills
* Bonus: Detailed knowledge of virtualization and/or EC2
* Bonus: Detailed knowledge of Rspec and/or Cucumber BDD frameworks
* Bonus: Experience automating systems with Chef, Puppet or CFEngine
