If you are a dental student, you could receive a full-tuition scholarship through the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) for one, two, three or four academic years. During academic breaks, you'll learn and work alongside other members of the U.S. Army Health Care Team. Plus, as your career progresses, you'll have the opportunity to further your education and gain specialized skills through diverse clinical experiences in areas such as endodontics, pediatric dentistry, oral and maxillofacial pathology and public health
As a student, you'll also receive:
- Monthly stipend of more than $1,900 for 10 ? months
- Officer's pay during academic breaks
- Reimbursement for books and certain academic fees
Upon graduation, benefits will include:
- Paid continuing education
- 30 days of paid vacation earned annually
- Non-contributory retirement benefits with 20 years of qualifying service
- No-cost or low-cost medical and dental care for you and your family
- Commissary and post exchange shopping privileges
- Flexible, portable retirement savings and investment plan similar to a 401(k)
- Commission as a Dental Corps captain
- Training to become a leader in your field
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree emphasizing natural sciences
- Enrollment in or acceptance to an ADA-accredited D.D.S. or D.M.D. program in the United States or Puerto Rico
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to maintain full-time student status

You can ensure that our Soldiers and their Families receive the latest and most advanced occupational therapy. By serving your country as an occupational medicine Officer on the U.S. Army Health Care Team, you'll practice in our collaborative organization without concerns about overhead expenses and malpractice insurance. Your duties will include planning, directing and supervising our occupational health programs

- Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
- Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
- Eligibility for board certification
- Completion of at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
- Completion of a training program in occupational medicine
- Between 21 and 42 years of age (may request a waiver)
- U.S. citizenship
RESERVE OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE PHYSICIAN
You can help make a difference in the lives of our Soldiers and their Families. As an occupational medicine Officer on the U.S. Army Reserve Health Care Team, you'll help oversee our occupational health programs. When you practice in your community and serve when needed, you'll gain unique experience and develop skills that will enhance your career
Benefits include:
- Health Professional Special Pay of $75,000 for eligible specialties, paid in three yearly increments of $25,000
- Healthcare Professionals Loan Repayment (HPLR) of up to $50,000 over three years; may be applied toward qualified medical school loans
- Paid continuing education and training
- Non-contributory retirement benefits at age 60 with 20 years of qualifying service
- Low-cost life and dental insurance
- Travel opportunities, including humanitarian missions
