General Description of Position:

To provide high-quality, inspiring music for Unity Church of Winston-Salem, including church services and special functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Select and schedule guest musicians for services; coordinate the use and maintenance of stage set-up and equipment.

2. Submit hymns for Sunday services 2 weeks in advance to be included in bulletin and for the projector.

3. Plan and develop musical programs for special services and functions.

4. Schedule, coordinate, rehearse and accompany other musicians to provide special music for services and special concerts as necessary.

5. Coordinate, rehearse, lead and direct adult chorus and other musical activities.

6. Skilled in playing the piano and organ (Additional instruments are optional.)

Position Qualifications:
* Experienced, professional musician with leadership ability.

* Sensitive to group dynamics of different guest musicians, singers and artists.

* Familiar with the Unity principles by promoting positive and practical Christianity.

* Minimum of Bachelor's degree in music or 5 years related experience

* Public speaking and solo performance experience.
