As a periodontist and Officer on the U.S. Army Reserve Health Care Team, you can practice in your community and serve when needed. As a member of our comprehensive dental care team, you will develop new skills while improving the well-being of Soldiers and their Families.

Benefits include:
- Special Pay of $75,000, paid in three yearly increments of $25,000
- Health Professional Loan Repayment of up to $50,000 over three years; may be applied toward qualified dental school loans
- Paid continuing education, including clinical specialization and residencies

Requirements include:
- Doctorate from an ADA-accredited dental school in the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or Canada
- Completion of an ADA-accredited Advanced Specialty Education Program in periodontics
- Between 21 and 42 years of age (health care professionals ages 43 to 60 are now eligible for a two-year service contract under the OAPP program)
- License to practice dentistry
- Permanent U.S. residency
