As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and Officer on the U.S. Army Reserve Health Care Team, you can make a difference in the lives of our Soldiers and their Families while enhancing your community practice. You'll use advanced technology and techniques to tackle some of the most challenging cases. By practicing in your community and serving when needed, you'll develop new skills as you practice in our collaborative health care environment.

Benefits include:
- Special Pay of $75,000, paid in three yearly increments of $25,000
- Health Professional Loan Repayment (HPLR) of up to $50,000 over three years; may be applied toward qualified dental school loans

Requirements include:
- A Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.), Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) or a combination Doctor of Dental Surgery/Doctor of Medicine (D.D.S./M.D.) degree from an ADA-accredited dental program in the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or Canada
- Completion of an Advanced Specialty Education Program in oral and maxillofacial surgery that is accredited by the American Dental Association and acceptable to the Surgeon General
- Between 21 and 42 years of age (health care professionals ages 43 to 60 are now eligible for a two-year service contract under the OAPP program)
- License to practice dentistry
- Permanent U.S. residency
