The audiologist provides patient care within the scope of practice for Audiology. Individual performs his/her clinical tasks independently and assumes full responsibility of technical accuracy of evaluation results and soundness of the recommendations. The individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to Provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and provide the care needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Doctorate or masters degree in Audiology
- CCC-A completed
- New graduate in Audiology considered
- Current New York licensure in Audiology and New York State Hearing Aid Dispenser License
- Must be able to communicate well with patients, Bassett providers and nursing staff, referring physicians and clinicians, schools, or other agencies
