Senior Accountant

Fandango is currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Senior Accountant.  We are looking for an extremely detail-oriented independent thinker who enjoys working in a small team-based environment.

Job responsibilities include the following:
•    Manage month-end close process
•    Generate daily journal entries and verify accuracy
•    Organize and maintain monthly accounting records
•    Receive and review daily bank statements
•    Reconcile cash accounts on a daily basis
•    Complete a daily cash summary report for management use
•    Provide research support to resolve exhibitor cash reconciliation issues
•    Initiate and complete ongoing accounting research projects
•    Generate and report weekly sales to exhibitor partners
•    Manage Billing and A/R, and communicate with sales customers
•    Prepare sales commissions
•    Compile and prepare journal entry for Fandango Bucks revenue recognition and breakage
•    Make recommendations to streamline accounting processes.  
•    Responsible for completion and management of month-end account reconciliations
•    Lead and assist annual audit and tax preparation
•    Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
•    Other various special projects as assigned

To be successful in this position you must have:
•    A Bachelor’s degree in accounting
•    CPA or progress towards is preferred.
•    2+ years of public accounting or industry experience, Big 4 experience a plus.
•    Minimum of 4+ years of prior A/P, A/R and cash reconciliation experience.  
•    Experience working at an organization with a significant digital / web-based line of business.  
•    Expert level MS Excel and Word skills are required.  
•    Strong interpersonal skills
•    Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
•    Supportive teamwork attitude
•    Ability to work independently
•    Prior experience with MAS 90, Oracle and Essbase a definite plus.
•    Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at Fandango’s sole discretion
•    Must be available and willing to work extended hours as occasionally needed (during crunch times!) per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs
