Job
Summary:
Reporting to the
Senior Corporate Tax Director, this individual will be responsible
for FAS 109 income tax reporting and all domestic income tax
compliance and planning. You will manage a staff of two employees
and be responsible for:
Core
Responsibilities
-
Quarterly and
annual effective tax rate calculation and all global FAS 109 and
FAS 123R compliance reporting.

Preparation and
review of income tax aspects of earnings releases and SEC
filings.
-
Primary
interface with external auditors to coordinate quarterly and annual
reviews.
-
Proper
interpretation and application of all tax technical accounting
pronouncements to reported results and new business initiatives and
issues.

Coordination of
SOX 404 requirements and maintenance of related processes and
procedures.

Supervise the
efficient, accurate, and timely completion of federal and states
income tax returns (compliance currently out-sourced).

Ensure all tax
return files are fully documented and audit ready for SOX 404
compliance and tax examination.

Manage all state
tax audits and the domestic tax issues related to IRS
audit.

Secondary
support for property tax function including timely payments, and
coordination of information necessary for declaration of real and
personal property.

Support the tax
aspect of M&A work. Scope includes but not
limited to conduct tax due diligence review, provide tax purchase
accounting entry, drive tax integration plans.

Manage the
annual R&D tax credit study (currently out-sourced)

Perform tax
research and planning projects as assigned.
Skills &
Requirements:

Minimum
education: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in
Accounting or Business (or equivalent)

MS Taxation
preferred but not required, Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
required
-
10-15 years of
experience in public accounting and industry
-
Must have
exceptional accounting, analytical and research skills with
demonstrated proficiency in FAS 109, FAS 123R, FIN 48 and other tax
technical accounting pronouncements
-
Must have strong
domestic and international provision experience.

Strong project
and people management and organizational skills and work
effectively with outside service providers
-
Excellent
written and oral communication skills
-
Must be a
hands-on, self motivated and able to work cross functionally with
other departments.

Ability to
manage multiple tasks in a time sensitive environment
