The
Solutions Architect plays a lead role in supporting select
Strategic clients (LAMP/Infomenris) to help architecting and
designing solutions to their Complex data Integration problems
using Informatica technologies and products.
By building on experience in solving previous integration
challenges, the Solutions Architect will review a customer's
current and future enterprise data architecture and provide design
and product recommendations to both client and Informatica
resources. They also may be engaged in helping customers design
Integration Competency Centers as well as proposing implementation
plans.
Responsibilities

Be part of a
sales team by providing consultative sales support to these
strategic opportunities within the enterprise

Drive profitable
revenue into the business

Lead or
participate in high-level architecture design workshops
-
Lead the
technical solution architecture definition at a fairly
high-level
-
Identify areas
where implementation of Informatica best practices will add value
to the customer’s short- or long-term
implementation
-
Transfer customer
requests for new products and services to Product Development and
engage with Product Development in the creation and launch of new
products and services

Provide technical
and professional guidance to all regional Sales
personnel
-
Develop and
maintain a positive working relationship with the Sales
organization
-
Provide
professional presentations at technical & management
levels
-
Provide
post-customer support to review and assess their architectural
needs on an on-going basis, as requested by the
customer.

Continue to
develop and maintain an engagement model that maximizes sales
opportunities, minimizes cost of sale, and balances corporate
resources and sales priorities

Deliver to
agreed-upon performance metrics including both sales results and
metrics beyond sales results (i.e., customer feedback, sales
feedback)
The
Solutions Architect has the following skills and should be able to
provide the following:

Broad business
and technical experience

Technical
experience in the areas of Data Integration, Business Intelligence,
Data Warehousing, Web Services, Data Quality, Service Oriented
Architecture (SOA)

Must keep
up-to-date on the latest trends in Data Integration in such areas
as software, hardware, architectures and design methodologies
(i.e., Master Data Management (MDM), Operational Integration
)

Must be able to
discuss business issues intelligently and then identify Informatica
technology solutions to solve these issues.

Ability to
collaborate with client and sales teams

Good Project
management and program management skills

Good written and
verbal communication skills.
Educational Qualification
-
Degree in
Computer science or Technical discipline related to data
integration
-
At least 5 years
of implementation experience with a preferred 2 to 3 years
pre-sales experience

Knowledge of
Database technologies, various Operating systems, Data Web
Services, Service Oriented Architect (SOA), and data quality
technologies
-
Informatica
products skills including PowerCenter, Metadata Manager, and
PowerExchange, Informatica, Data Quality
