This position will assist with the inventory costing process,
journal entries, reconciliations and fixed assets. This is an entry
level position that will be groomed to take on responsibilities at
the senior accountant level.
Job Responsiblities include:
- Compute monthly production costs using weighted average cost
method which includes allocating energy & fixed costs to
products.
- Prepare monthly reconciliation of all finished goods
inventories for volumes and amounts.
- Record and confirm all product exchange activities with third
parties.
- Prepare and record monthly journal entries.
- Calculate and record monthly depreciation expense.
- Prepare monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Calculate, record and file monthly sales tax report.
- Prepare monthly reports for management.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, strong analytical and
reconciliation skills are required
- Detailed oriented
- Ability to autonomously in a fast paced environment
- Organized
- Fast and self learner
- Must have the ability to maintain productive relationships with
employees in other departments
Experience Required:
- 2+ years experience in a corporate accounting function and
knowledge of general ledger, fixed assets and weighted average
inventory costing is required.
- ERP experience required, knowledge of Oracle preferred.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting
