We are currently recruiting for an Implementation Engineer to join our team in Kansas City, MO and provide advanced product Usage, Installation and Infrastructure related knowledge in support of one or more of the Ultra Electronics – Airport System’s key product sets AIMS, BRS, and CUSE (Ultra's version of CUTE - Common Use Terminal Equipment).  This individual will contain advanced Infrastructure related knowledge as it applied to each of these key products.  This individual will be working under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and/or Technical Lead during project implementations and must demonstrate advanced Problem Determination and advanced Customer Service and Relationship Management skills.  When not engaged on direct project work, this individual will be assisting our customer sites with 3rd level problem resolution, small project implementations and advising our customers from a product strategy perspective.  This individual will often times be working directly with our customers and is required to follow the specific procedures and pre-established processes for Incident, Problem and Change management to perform the various functions of the job.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide support and product knowledge to Incident and Specialist teams in support of customer problems.  

• Provide Implementation, Installation and Configuration expertise to the project delivery teams.  

• Work directly with our customers to advise on upgrades, installations and architectural related topics as they relate to our products.

• Participate in pre-sales presentations to our customers to demonstrate our product capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Understanding of airport IT systems, peripherals and software development lifecycles or other relevant experiences.

• Extensive knowledge of AIMS, BRS and/or Common Use products or other relevant experiences.

• Extensive Infrastructure experiences to support the products including Windows, VMWare, Unix, Disk and Network.  Virtual Desktop (VDI) experiences would be a strong plus.

• Experience with ITIL practices covering Incident, Problem and Change Management or other relevant experiences.  

• Must have the ability to obtain a passport and agree to travel domestically and internationally as required to support the job requirements (up to 75% travel).

• Must be willing to be fingerprinted and have the ability to pass a background check to obtain security badges for various airport locations.
