How would you describe your time at St. Lukes Living Center East?
I provide supervision to staff responsible for individual care, while
coordinating orientation and evaluations for new and existing staff, ensuring appropriate staffing ratios are maintained/not exceeded, and reviewing/coordinating individual schedules for living units.
I conduct weekly staff meetings & address staff concerns as needed.
I provide input into person centered activities and active treatment programs and attend Annual Reviews/Interdisciplinary Team Meetings/Unit Meetings as required.
I must maintain open communication and input to Unit Facilitators/Program Manager, as well as satisfy all needs and concerns of my staff....

How would you describe your time at St. Lukes Living Center East?
I was direct care staff for individuals with developmental disabilities. I assist in ensuring the safety, comfort, healthcare, and welfare of the individuals. A majority of the job involves implementing person-centered planning and active treatment programs for the living units. Daily data collection and documentation must be completed daily and accurately. I assist individuals to community activities/events and ensure their safety.
My favorite aspect is orientating new staff and assist in advancement training for existing staff. I am also a personal advocate for the individuals....

I was a teaching assistant and individual aide for behavioral modification students and special needs preschoolers. I attended conferences and applied methods and plans to meet IEP goals.

I worked as a front-end cashier, which consisted of extensive customer service. Throughout my time there, I compiled and assessed shift bookkeeping, was responsible for cash accountability, and maintained and ordered inventory. An important aspect was building and maintaining vendor and customer relations. I also was responsible for training new staff.
