I was directly involved in the Washington area central office equiupment upgrades from 1986 to 2000. This included: identification, database scourging and then converting to the new technology. Making sure that the office would have enough new facilities for the existing and any future growth. My duties also included attending monthly meetings and interacting with all teams involved.
I was a member of a team that had the responsibility of cleaning up the computerized inventory database for all central office equipment. This involved interacting with the other teams in the Verizon east coast region along with getting their computer databases corrected. Getting the central offices to inventory their hardware and correcting their physical use and data records. Identifying and then contacting the appropriate business office team to get customer billing records corrected.
I helped train any new team member and stayed updated on all new technology....
