If you could choose, what city would you most like to live/work in? Why?
Living in Los Angeles, is the perfect place for me right now. Overall, New York is the ultimate place to be for people in the magazine publishing industry; however, for the average person, New York can be a bit overwhelming (even for someone like myself, who has spent a great portion of her younger life in that location). With that said, Los Angeles is a great place to get a good start. It is indeed a big city, but has the properties of a larger suburban area. I found it really easy to get adjusted here. It's difficult to make friends here, but career-wise, it's great. And there are so many different areas in L.A. that there is a fit for everyone....

How would you describe your time at E! Entertainment?
I conduct many news duties (ie. logging and transcribing interviews, selecting soudbytes for pieces, writing a selection of pieces, selecting proper footage for pieces and so forth). I also work directly with the talent, the editors and producers to assure news segments are assembled and produced properly and in a timely manner. I follow entertainment news/gossip and pop culture constantly, and make it a priority to know what is going on in the media at all times. I've learned a great deal from this position--many skills I had not developed prior....

I conducted interviews with agents and publicists, I conducted research on people and events, I wrote stories on fashion and lifestyle, and I transcribed interview tapes. I also had the opportunity to do event work. I helped coordinate some events and work at them, to assure they ran smoothly. It was a job that gave me a richer taste of Los Angeles. From this job, I really got a better idea of L.A. nightlife, shopping and dining....
