How would you describe your dream job in 10 words or less?

I have my dream job. I am an old soccer player and coach. In that sport, I work on helping kids develop their skills and learning to work as a team. I do the same thing in my work as Director of Workforce Solutions for Advantage Technology Group. I visit companies everyday and learn about their specific problems related to getting stuff done. My company is an expert in utilizing technology to get more done with less people, so I help those companies know how we do it. We help them understand some of their teams shortcomings. Sometimes, I get to build our staff....so we can fix our customer's problems; and sometimes, our customers invite me to help them build their capacities to do it themselves. I understand my space very well and have become an expert in the "contractor labor model." I have build recruitment programs, succession management programs, and I help companies increase their leadership capacity. We have customers who actually ask me to help them develop their in-house programs. I love doing my job and working with people who care about excellence.... read more

NKU is an excellent small D2
school. It was a "commuter college," i.e. people drive to the school from their homes instead of living there (Now, it's getting really big and has hundreds of dorm rooms, but a lot of people from northern KY still commute there). I was an older student and I felt welcomed instead of being an outsider. One professor thought I had talent and recommended me for the honors program. I found a great fit with that group and loved the rest of my time at NKU. I did well, learned a lot, and made more than a million dollars since graduating (I think).... read more
