How would you describe your dream job in 10 words or less?

My dream job would be to find a position were I could use my design skills to "serve" other people and at the same time find an environment (and co-workers) were I would be able to remain passionate about what I am doing. I love working with people and can adapt to a variety of personalities, but am also able to adapt and work alone as well. I would love to work with people who are not just working for a paycheck but are working because they really enjoy what they do!

I love this quote: "If you have ever felt such tremendous enthusiasm and desire for something that you would gladly spend all your waking hours working on it, that you would happily do without pay, then you have found your passion." ~ Sharon Cook & Graciela Sholander

At this point I had already spent several years obtaining my BA in studio arts, as well as working as a professional freelance cartographer. It was very exciting to go back into the classroom setting, as a student, but with a few years of practical experience under my belt as well. I enjoyed interacting with my fellow students as well as the faculty who were also practicing illustrators and graphic artists.... read more

How would you describe your time at Bethel College?

By this point in my life I had already learned how to be a 'student' and I began to thrive in the student teaching environment. It was at this point that I really started to understand that you can excel at almost anything as long as you remain passionate about what you are doing!

How would you describe your time at Bethel College?

My time a Bethel exposed me to a wide variety of people and ideas, but the art faculty helped me to see that the lessons were more about learning how to 'think' then just going through the passes of the project itself.
