How would you describe your time at Catalytic Software?

At Catalytic, I worked in the Mobile and Wireless Division on Action Engine Corporation's project (Bellevue, WA). I have worked out of the Hyderabad office and I am currently in Bellevue, WA. Here I lead a team of 15 developers across J2ME, BREW and BlackBerry platforms on Action Engine's flagship Mobile Application Platform (MAP).

The MAP Platform allows content publishers to quickly mobile enable their content across 100+ handsets on J2ME, BREW, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile platforms. I was the principal architect on J2ME, BREW and BlackBerry platforms. I lead a team of 15+ developers and testers to develop HTML Browser, SQL Database, Query Engine, JavaScript engine, Code sharing platform between BlackBerry and J2ME. I was involved in the development of client plugin in the form of an Internet Explorer Toolbar, Desktop Toolbar, Netscape Toolbar and rendering using Internet Explorer ActiveX object.

I also worked on the second version of MyHttp Server that scraped content from various backend sources (including web pages, excel sheets, etc.) and converted it into content for the various frontends (desktop frontend via toolbars, wap phones, j2me application on phones).

At ADCC, I worked on a project for home monitoring and control, given by a Swiss company. I worked on the server end that involved receiving and making voice calls through TAPI (telephony API) and CAPI (common ISDN API). The server component is installed at a person's home and has a hardware box that interfaces with various components.
