How would you describe your time at State Farm Agent Steve Nealon?
State Farm was a great place to learn about many aspects of the insurance industry, to hone my customer service skills, and to learn about the proper ways to handle highly confidential personal information of clients. My supervisors were extremely knowledgeable, productive people and they shared their wisdom and skills with me in many ways. I loved my time there, and was sorry to leave but we had a mutual agreement that I would look for a position with more potential for advancement after completing my undergraduate degree....

How would you describe your time at Sycamore School?
Trying to get 14 three-year-olds to accomplish a task together is a serious test of multi-tasking and organizational skills! This was a fun and rewarding environment with a very fast pace.
My position was eliminated due to low enrollment numbers.

How would you describe your time at Nefouse and Associates?
I was hired at Nefouse as a receptionist originally. The company graciously paid for me to obtain my insurance licenses and I was moved away from customer service and into small group sales. I performed customer service duties part of the week and spent the other part cold-calling both on the phone and door-to-door at small businesses. I discovered that I do not have an aptitude for sales and marketing and that I do not enjoy those particular disciplines as much as the other aspects of small business insurance brokering. I learned more from this job and the Nefouses than from any other position I have held. The brokerage owner has amazing business acumen and set a great example for his staff. He was both supportive and demanding - encouraging employees to challenge themselves and to achieve. I am very grateful to the company and to the individuals there for everything that they gave to me & I am definitely a better person for having worked there....

How would you describe your time at Carmel Clay Public Library?
I love working at the CCPL. My department has wonderfully talented, friendly employees who are some of the best co-workers one could ask for. My supervisor is highly skilled and encourages professional development and allows us to work very independently. The administration believes in open communication and a family atmosphere that makes working here a delight....

How would you describe your time at UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX ONLIN...?
Because I worked two jobs and raised three children while earning my undergraduate degree, I participated in a totally online program. I graduated with a 3.9 GPA and academic honors. The key to online learning is that you must be highly organized and self-motivated and I improved in these areas while attending school. I was also able to attend class with people from all over the globe, learning all about them and their experiences. The high degree of teamwork involved in online learning has transformed me from someone who just joined a team quietly to someone who will do whatever it takes to help the team meet its goals....
