Academic Projects:
M.S Intelligent Systems
Face Recognition System using different feature extraction techniques - (final thesis)
Duration: May 2007 to october 2007
Technology: MATLAB(image processing tool box),MS office,YALE and ORL face Database,IEEE publications on Image information
retreival.
The project work involved here is to develop an automatic face recognition system using MATLAB and research on implementing this system on different feature extraction techniques, using Gabor filters and fisher faces method. This project will investigate each persons recognition ID in terms of images present in the dataset, which is been downloaded through the Internet.

Other Research based Projects done during the M.S:
Java Application for human Iris Recognition, using client/ server technology, - (Mini project)
Duration: January 2007 to April 2007
Technology: JAVA flat form, publications on Daugman???s algorithm, IEEE publications on grid computing
The project work involved in this system is to develop a Iris recognition system using java and research on implementing the system on grid computing using the client server model to compare the processing capability of grid with single system. . Daugman???s algorithm is used mostly in the iris recognition systems present in market. Computational power and resource power is always been tried to full, and companies always wants to use its resources and capability to the full. For doing so grid technology can be implemented such that systems are connected in such a way that all machines connected act as one whole. So which ever system is free the job will run in that.

Word sense Disambiguation
Duration: January 2007 to April 2007
Technology: MATLAB programming, notepad, technical papers on NLP and News paper articles Natural language processing word sense disambiguation is essentially a classification problem. That is if we take a word ???club??? Then we need to find out all possible semantic tags for that word and we need to decide which tag is appropriate for each individual instance of that word in context. In my project I wrote a MATLAB code to explain a word sense disambiguation. I created my own dictionary in .txt format and I took an example of a sentence which consist of ambiguity words and then through MATLAB code I tried to find out all the meanings of words present in that sentence and I removed all common words like a, the etc. Then I compared each word with the neighbouring words which might be ambiguous words. If any of the words in the meanings of the neighbouring words match with one of the meanings of the ambiguous word, this is the contextual meaning of the ambiguous word.

Titanic Database Management System
Duration: August 2006 to December 2006
Technology: MATLAB, TITANIC DATABASE, Neural Network Tool Box, MS office

This project involves how decision tree architecture and neural network architecture have been trained to classify the data and acquire knowledge from the TITANIC DATABASE. The performance of the result obtained from neural network architecture is compared with the performance of the decision tree technique. Finally conclusion involves showing which architecture gives more accurate result.

Robot Waiter
Duration: August 2006 to December 2006
Technology: Digital Camera, Tray with coins, MATLAB image processing tool box, MS office

The project involved here is to design and develop a robot waiter to find the value of three different types of coins in the given image of the coins left by the customer on a table scenario. MATLAB tool is used to design this product to read and processing the image, coins segmentation, labelling the coins, finding the value of each coin present in the image and finally finding the total amount of the coins.

Human Computation: Image Information Retrieval System
Duration: March 2006 to July 2006
Technology: www.orkut.com, EPS online game, IEEE publications on human computation, MS office
The project involved here is to build a technical research paper on Human information retrieval system. This research work is mainly based on a question: what difficulties do visually impaired people face while using the internet when they go for searching an image in any search engines?. Human computation is used here to overcome these difficulties

Wine database-Neural Networks.
Duration: march 2006 to July 2006
Technology: MATLAB, TITANIC DATABASE, Neural Network Tool Box, MS office
The project work involved here to design a given database to classify wines into three different classes: first class, second class and third class. To implement this back propagation algorithm in MATLAB is been used. Here the dataset is first been modified and pre-processed and then loaded into MATLAB, for the desired neural network inputs. The architecture of this neural network is created according to input and output data. Then the obtained result is compared with the desired output.

Advanced Security System Including Fire Detection and Autodialing ??? (6th Sem)

Technology: 89c51 Programming, Hardware (transmitter and receiver) building with PCB designing and assembling, Presentation and documentation using MS Office.

This Project work basically works on the principle of IR rays. I have done this project using 89c51 micro controllers, and my project included hardware and software, main object of my project is to provide security. When the receiver stops receiving the signal passed from the transmitter, the receiver automatically dials to three different numbers simultaneously. Receiver had also consist of fire detection sensor which sense the temperature and compares with the normal room temperature, if the temperature exceeds the room temperature the receiver atomically dials to the fire extinguisher.

Automatic Test station for testing receivers EK 896 ??? (8th Sem)

Technology: C, C++ programming, Receiver EK896 and the transmitter assembling, GPIB interface BUS (IEEE standard)

This Project entitled as ???Automatic test station for testing receivers EK896??? is developed for MC and EW department, Bharat Electronics Limited, India for there own use. Its aim is to computerize the existing system in advanced manner by using the currently used software and is user friendly. This project is developed using C/C++ programming Language. This application will be a part of BEL interface module called ???Automatic test station???. The project was subdivided into four modules. Auto testing, Partial Testing, Manual testing and report.
