Directed the development of a new infrastructure for this multi-national company across 5 sites, 3 nations, and 4 timezones. Implemented proper redundancy and regular systems maintenance policies in conjunction with Operations and Engineering to provide exceptional uptime on network and critical systems.

How would you describe your time at Mentor Graphics?
Managed a team of System Administrators supporting a peak of 150 highly technical programmers and IC designers on 200 heterogeneous workstations. Provided a local support infrastructure including a LAN, fileservers, mail, news, license, build servers, and a Helpdesk service guaranteeing a 10-minute response time. Worked with remote corporate IT group as a major POP for the corporate WAN and with other Engineering Support Services groups at three other sites to provide a seamless support structure for the end-users. Managed a local capital budget up to $1.3 Million, staying at the "bleeding edge" of technology and performance while still holding costs down....
