How would you describe your dream job in 10 words or less?

For your Review:

Recently, your company has come to my attention as possible requiring a person of my ability. I therefore, would like to apply for the position you have under review or available. I have enclosed a brief overview of my business, educational, and personal achievements for
your analysis. Although, my most recent organization was a deviation from my highly computerized background. I am well advanced in software and hardware development, but also, I am capable of working in a less advanced field. Thus, I feel very adaptable and able to perform any assignment or manage any field that is placed under my direction.

Some of the companies and corporations that I have been involved and associated with in the past have included some of the top names in their respective fields. I have worked in departments that included: Contracts, Production/Material Control, Purchasing, Logistics, Marketing and Engineering. I instigated a variety of new methods and technology to the industries that I was able to assist in becoming more successful. I was a user of barcode technology in controlling manufacturing and product validity. I installed programs that allowed for large quantities of data to down loaded from a mainframe computer to a desktop or portable laptop. This allowed for data to be screened and diskettes to be sent to suppliers for refreshing and rotating inventories. I instigated a Just-in-Time philosophy in manufacturing to keep inventories low and make the company lean of excess items.

I worked with suppliers and venders to develop Supply Chain Management. I held meetings with various departments to keep communications and ideas open and as a top agenda within the company. I installed Quality Circles in maintaining high product standards as well as having all employees involved in resolving product issues. I worked closely with the financial departments to present Cycle Counting as a way to show validity and credibility in quantities and values associated with inventory counts. I spent a significant amount of time and effort in training and cross-training personnel under my direction to improve constant and uninterrupted production flow in areas that I managed.

I find myself the type of person who is results oriented and able to adjust or adapt to any situation that I am to manage or undertake. I try to instill in my co-workers and associates a 'can-do' attitude. I have the view that 'no job is too large'. My overall attitude is generally very positive both at work and at play. I have always tried to instill a team oriented spirit in resolving problems or issues which can develop within a corporate environment, while exhibiting a good cooperative view, but also a good sense of humor.

In conclusion, for the past several months I have been living and working in Florida and previously for a few years I was residing in Europe. I primarily was disposing of properties which I had acquired. I have completed this task, and now I am ready to advance with my business career. Therefore, I am most willing to meet with you or your representatives to provide any additional information you may require. I am eager to join a organization that will allow myself the opportunity for growth and provide the opportunity to utilize the traits and talents I have acquired to help in assisting an organization or a company in its development.

Thank you for this opportunity to present my credentials for your review. My email address and telephone number are: jameswilliamlynn@yahoo.co.uk and tel:(239) 298-0544.
