What was the last really difficult interview question you were asked? How did you respond?
The questions was, "How do you manage conflict in a complex, cross-functional environment with competing goals and priorities?"
I replied that I do not have a formula response, but I would (1) gain an understanding of the conflict and what competing stakes and objectives were in play; (2) Identify points of agreement and disagreement; (3) See what was doable; (4) escalate if the differences were irreconcilable: That is, does management want this project to go forward, and how can I help ensure that it will?...

* For a CT-based pharmaceutical firm, performed a Sarbanes-Oxley sustainability initiative in a Project Manager/Lead capacity. Included streamlining, "as-implemented" controls analysis, and gap analysis, as the basis for revising test plans, testing, and sustainable controls evaluation in a SAP R3 Oracle /UNIX environment. 1 month, June-July, 2005.
* Senior BA for Sarbanes-Oxley 404 narrative development, control effectiveness assessment, test plan development, test results evaluation & recommendations for Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, a St. Louis-based engagement from August 2004 to March 2005.
