Created requirements specifications, interface specifications, architectures, and white papers for the widely-deployed Tellabs public access network systems, including Fiber-To-The-Home (marketed as Verizon FiOS) and Tellabs broadband Digital Loop Carrier systems. Included:
- Feature
requirements development and management with DOORS and ClearQuest, as well as various MS Office tools - MS Word, Excel, Visio, etc.
- Feature white papers and architecture documents for customer and engineering use
- Target areas of embedded network elements, NMS GUI and external management interfaces, and cross-element database architectures and interface specifications
- A wide array of OSI layer 2 and layer 3 technologies used by access systems - IP data, Ethernet, VoIP, xDSL, POTS, IPTV, etc.

Additionally have participated and contributed to industry standards bodies and forums, such as contributions to FSAN/ITU for inclusion in the ITU-T G.983.2 PON standard. Have several patents pending in FTTH technologies, including provisioning, data management, and device test technologies.

- Developed features for the administration of hierarchical databases for the EWSD class 5 switching system, using CCITT
high-level software language.
- Developed development information database and various information tools for the development area using UNIX shell scripts, C, OS/2 REXX, and Lotus Notes.

Developed features for the administration of hierarchical and relational type databases for the EWSD class 5 switching system. Primary areas included digit translation, peripheral port data, and database expansion administration. Feature knowledge and implementation included CENTREX, GR-303, ACD/MIS, and various CLASS features.

Development tasks for each project included:
- authoring and review of functional, design, and test specifications
- software code implementation of features
- function testing on simulation environment and target hardware
- system maintenance including software patching

Also developed development information database and various information tools for the development area using UNIX shell scripts, C, OS/2 REXX, and Lotus Notes.
