What do you do for fun?
I've had a 5-foot perspective on life for most of my adult life (although I'm known to give in to the occasional lure of heels to experience moments of an elevated life). Born and brought up as a city girl in Bombay, a.k.a. Mumbai, India, I think there's nothing quite like Bombay street food to tantalize the curious palate. (If you want good Indian food in Seattle... go to Vancouver, B.C., although you might find the ride to Preet's (http://www.preets.com) in Redmond shorter.) I do some cooking myself, but lately my plate's been full juggling part-time jobs and school in Seattle.
I spend the mornings at Grist (http://grist.org), afternoons at the UW Library and attend evening classes as part of the UW's Master's in Digital Media program. In my minimal spare time, you'll find me catching up on reading, assignments, music, movies and hiking. On occasion, I also challenge anyone who's brave enough to a game of Scrabble.
My current favourite authors are Vikram Chandra and David Mitchell....
