Utilized audio-visual media and PowerPoint presentations to convey program messages and to illustrate photography. Disseminated information to the public about cultural, historical, and natural resources of interest. Informed visitors of potential outdoor safety hazards and invasive species regulations and concerns. Sold state park stickers, registered campers, and completed financial remittances. How would you describe your time at UW-Stevens Point?
Aided the US Forest Service in their efforts to determine the presence or absence of Phytophthora ramorum, the pathogen responsible for sudden oak death syndrome. Deployed bait rigs at predetermined sites in southeastern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois. Retrieved bait rigs after one week and recorded data on water temperature, hydrological changes, and other potential influences on the condition of each sample. Returned samples to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point for analysis....
