How would you describe your time at Independent Contractor?

Deployed and provided user support for DSL/FiOS home networks on Windows XP/Vista computers in a 400 home community. I configured network setups and installed Office 2003/2007 and developed ghost backup disaster recovery systems for consumers. I deployed a 10 node LAN for an electrical contractor at a DC Metro Station. Completed Microsoft???s??? Official 2000/2003 courses and testing for MCSE 2000/2003 and MCSA Messaging with Exchange 2003. Competed training in VMware ESX server and SharePoint Services 3.0. How would you describe your time at Montgomery County DPS?

I was responsible for the day-to-day management and problem resolution of a 200-node NT network. My accomplishments included the re-engineering of the 10-server NT 4.0 infrastructure through memory upgrades and server services optimization; activation and optimization of DPS???s Exchange 5.5 server and redesign of Norton Enterprise Anti-virus system v7.6 on a Windows 2000 server platform with deployment of new solution to 9 NT 4.0 servers and 200 desktop/notebook computers. I successfully, recovered network from a worm outbreak which compromised the DPS web and terminal servers and required me to spend an entire night in disaster recovery. This led to deployment of Ghost Enterprise imaging system for PC OS migration and system recovery. Further, I specified and purchased an IBM @240 server for DPS???s first Active directory server. Managed ADSM backup system of the RS6000/AIX cluster and purchased and deployed HP 4200 print servers with web administration to simplify network printing. How would you describe your time at Comtech Mobile Datacom?

I was responsible for the design and construction of Comtech???s first NT domain with a 3-server network configuration and 35 clients. Researched and purchased all PC based network components. Provided highest level of network administration and troubleshooting. Major duties included specification and installation of Dell Power Edge 2400 server and all NT workstations & notebooks. Responsible for the installation of the network infrastructure: including the supervision of (Cat-5) network cable installation, the upgrade to a 3Com 10/100 hub and acquisition of an APC UPS. Managed the HP-UX sendmail e-mail system and set Outlook 2000 as the standard e-mail client. Researched anti-virus solutions and purchased Mycio.com anti-virus clients for desktops and McAfee Netshield for servers. Deployed Ghost Enterprise to create library of desktop OS images for quick recovery of infected systems and deployed Windows 2000 Professional OS to a user test group. I engineered C2 security standards with one-week notification of NT workstations deployment to the Army under the MTS contract during the July 4, 2000 holiday.... read more
