What kind of job are you looking for?
Something that involves sticking up with technology. Administratively focused- I enjoy business and running a productive office. I am new to, but would like to gain more experience with, managing employees. I enjoy having multiple tasks on my plate and facing my day as timeline of tasks that need to get done. I want to be given the authority to do my job and placed in a position where my input is needed. work well with people from any cultural background. I am a fast learner and wantt o be challenged with my role. I want to be in a position that is adjustable to expand with all that I have to offer the company....

How would you describe your time at university of alaska anchorage?
Trained in Banner Student, HR, & Finance; division cost center clerk; budget manager; produce hiring & termination forms; operating multi-lined phones; attend to academic customer service; event coordinator; plan travel arrangements and produce expense reports; help maintain technology training for all of division; supervised a student worker; and general office tasks
Proactively determine and implement fiscal policy for the Division Director and CTC Fiscal Office. Dev and produce accurate management reports for the Transportation & Power Division, coordinating with CTC fiscal office and Division Director. Direct, process and reconcile all administrative transactions. Responsible for division policy development, oversight and production of all payroll documents, all purchasing (bids/quotes, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, travel authorizations and expense reports, reimbursement requests, journal vouchers, petty cash, and other purchasing processes) for division. Manage and oversee all procurement card transactions. Position has signature authority up to $2,500 per transaction. Skills Required: attention to detail and organizational skills to collect and maintain documentation. Analytical thinking. Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload. Effective written and verbal communication. Interpersonal communication skills to develop positive relationships with HRS, Accounting, Procurement Services, and CTC. Accounting and math skills to calculate and verify correctness of data, advanced use of databases and spreadsheets. Thorough understanding of university regulations.
Produce, maintain and monitor general fund, initiative and contract budgets using automated soft ledgers and electronic spreadsheets: Track multiple revenue sources and types of revenues. Keep Division Director and CTC Fiscal Office apprised of current status of revenues collected relative to budget authority levels.
Monitor non-personal services (contractual and commodity) expenses for all programs. Independently collect and prepare statistical data for cost benefit analysis purposes as necessary, creating and maintaining tables and spreadsheets. Relate analysis to program activity and report to Division Chair and Fiscal Office as required. Ensure that all program activity is accurately posted to the correct accounts and object codes. Skills Required: ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload, attention to detail and accuracy, critical thinking, organizational skills to collect and maintain documentation, demonstrated effective written, oral and listening skills to relate fiscal information and concerns in an organized manner, accounting skills to analyze expenses and track revenue, skills to analyze, audit and effectively present financial reports and projections, math skills to calculate and verify correctness of data, proofing skills to monitor and check correctness of data.
Responsible for preparation and accuracy of job forms and payroll documents; position generates pay for approximately 6 permanent and adjunct faculty members and 5 staff members. Provide instructor pay rates; create or review and proof staff and adjunct appointment letters. Manage and process all paperwork for hire of permanent staff. Train and provide direction to student workers on office procedures. Skills Required: attention to detail and quality of work, organizational skills to collect and maintain documentation, maintain confidentiality regarding payroll issues, know and understand HRS policies and regulations, develop and maintain positive working relationships and rapport with adjuncts and HRS, delegate appropriate payroll duties to administrative assistant as appropriate, ability to work independently.
Produce and verify labor reallocations and budget revision requests when changes are required or errors are found. Sign and forward documents to appropriate campus offices; follow through to verify that documents are posted to Banner and changes are noted on logs and spreadsheets. Oversee contractual agreements with outside agencies. Prepare billings and invoices for contract work as noted in grants and contracts. Track payments and compute revenue splits with other UAA departments and external agencies when necessary. Receive, process and deposit division's cash revenues; follow up to ensure that revenue is posted to Banner. Skills Required: attention to detail, ability to prepare professional billing documents, proofing and analytical skills to verify figures on Banner and department spreadsheets, professional communication skills to interact with outside agencies, ability to safeguard division's cash, organizational skills to collect and maintain documentation.
Produce accurate management report. Check and post all data, including manual adjustments, proof and reconcile contract logs, check course schedules for enrollment and revenue issues. Summarize all aspects of department expense. Justify differences in budget balances from cycle to cycle. Work directly with Division Director and CTC Fiscal Office to address specific questions and concerns. Manage self-support revenue for division. Assure that revenues are posted to division accounts rather than administrative general fund pool. Provide cost/break even analysis for individual classes and contracts and report minimum enrollment numbers required to faculty and staff for self support classes. Skills Required: working knowledge of fiscal policy on self-support courses and fees. Attention to detail, accounting and math skills to calculate expenses, communication skills to relate issues and concerns to division director and budget office. Maintain positive relationships with curriculum office and accounting.
Develop and manage base budgets for 8 accounts (organizations); provide all detail and review with Division Director for budget planning and development. Provide detail and report on spending issues which could impact base budgets negatively. Confer with Division Director on potential initiative/contractual revenue and expenses that should be factored into the standard base budgets.
