I would say that my work at QIP was closer to a freelance position rather than a regular staff position. While at LUM, I wrote and edited grants and proposals. One proposal, which I wrote for a class, snagged $1,100 of the $1,500 allocated for service learning proposals. A solicitation letter I coauthored, the organization's primary fundraiser, brought more than $30,000 during my internship and will create enough funds to sustain operations for the entire year.
