If you could choose, what city would you most like to live/work in? Why?

I haven't traveled everywhere yet but if I had to move somewhere other than an island, I liked London. I found it quite interesting. I'd like to stay close to my family and friends though so I think Miami is it for now.

How would you describe your time at Simplikate Systems?

Part of a three person team that tested the CAMACCT accounting software and tracked its progress. Collaborated in the migration and conversion of data from the old accounting system (Famass) to the new program (CamAcct).
Responsible for testing functionality as builds were posted to the
development atmosphere. Which meant reading the work order and any attached specs or test plan and then running through different scenarios to be sure the end result was on par with what the client required. Creating work orders/bugs, and powerpoints containing screenshots of the tests run for the appropriate work order. Then attaching the powerpoints to the work orders and updating the spreadsheet to track all work orders currently in developmental phases. Also updating work orders if/when there is a change and alerting the lead developer of the update. For more complicated functions, used PowerPoint to do a graphic recreation for specs of customizations to the software.
Support included taking calls and emails to answer questions or educate about program functions and help the users resolve any issues they may have on their end. Including research to be sure whether problems were user error or a bug in the system and then providing the user with a solution. Created and/or edited spreadsheets used for import into clients live atmospheres in order to help the accounting staffs during their conversion processes. Light contact with Mysql in order to assist supervisor with data changes and run queries (with the lead programmer???s guidance) for the various clients.
The program contains three modules based on each division of the accounting department and therefore three manuals were created. Authored the general ledger and accounts payable manuals. Designed the layouts (with my supervisors input) for all three plus the ???mini-manuals??? that came later in Word. Was responsible for editing and updating all three and the creation of all ???mini-manuals???.
