How would you describe your time at Barrel of Monkeys?
Barrel of Monkeys is a non-profit arts education program which goes into Chicago's public schools and holds a creative writing workshop for children. The chidrens' stories are then performed by professional actors and singers at a live performance at the end of workshop. BOM also has a weekly live show, where they perform these stories at the Neo-Futurists Theatre in the Andersonville neighborhood. During my time there I shot photos during live performances, updated the website, updated their archives, kept records of sales and donations, made cold calls to potential donors and for potential group sales, ran the box office, sold merchandise at shows, helped build costumes, helped put grants together, and did basic office jobs such as making copies and creating mailing packets....
